WASTELL:
At University Hospital, London on Friday, September 23, 2005, John L. Wastell of London in his 85th year. Beloved husband of the late May (Heslop) Wastell. Dear father of Cheryl Gammon and her husband Allan, Garry Wastell and his wife Elaine, Lorraine Rumford and her husband Gordon, Linda Taylor and Keith Wastell and his wife Brenda all of London. Dear brother of Gordon Wastell in England, Florence McCullough of London and Jean Thompson of Mesa, Az. Predeceased by his sister Bertha Johnson and his brother Bill Wastell. Also loved by his 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received by the family from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London where the funeral service will be conducted in the chapel on Monday, September 26th at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, London. Mr. Wastell joined the Canadian Army at the age of 18, serving overseas during World War II for 5 years and retired after a distinguished career at the age of 47. Sorry to here about Johns passing. He was a great man and I enjoyed meeting him and the warmth he showed to me. I will always have fond memories of him. I feel saddness for your loss but I am sure you all have great memories too from having John as part of your life. Al Taylor
