Peacefully at St. Joseph’s Mount Hope Centre for Long Term Care on Sunday, January 2nd, 2005 Louise (Vermuelen) van de Ven Klaase of London in her 85th year. Beloved wife of the late Albert Jacobus van de Ven and the late Jack Klaase. Dear mother of Anne Gemmill and her husband Scott of St. Catharines; Jackie Morand and her husband Peter of Windsor; Mary-Lou Hart and her husband Ron and Martin van de Ven and his wife Mary-Josephine all of London. Also loved by her 10 grandchildren Alan and Stacey Gemmill; Adam and Dana Morand; Johanna, Jennifer and Edward Hart; and Stephanie, Matthew and Michael van de Ven. Louise will also be missed by her family in the Netherlands. The family wish to extend their deepest gratitude for the outstanding care and tenderness provide by the 1st floor staff of St. Joseph’s Mount Hope Centre for Long Term Care. Friends will be received by the family from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Tuesday at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London. The funeral mass will be held at St. Michaels Catholic Church on Wednesday, January 5th, 2005 at 10:00 am. Interment in St. Peter’s Cemetery, London. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of London & Middlesex, 555 Southdale Road East, Suite 100, London ON N6E 1A2 or to the Mount Hope Fund c/o Parkwood Hospital Foundation, 801 Commissioners Road East, London ON N6C 6A6. My Dad asked me to put one in for him to. He also sends his deepest sympathy for your loss. He boarded with your mom when he first moved to Canada from Holland and he knew her well. Even though he hasn’t seen her in years, he still talks about the time he lived with them.

As I told Martin befor, I was there when your mother and father were leaving Holland for Canada from Rotterdam for starting a compleet new live there.
I remember your mother and Oma in the days she was just married and from the pictures we found in the album of our mom.
Now she is passed away, I hope that you all will be able to feel the strengh to get over this loss and continue the spirit of the pioneers that your mother and father were showing.
