Jack R. Newton

NEWTON — At Parkwood Hospital, London, on Sunday August 8th 2004, Jack R. Newton C.D. of London in his 81st year. Beloved husband of Doris (Capon) Newton. Dear father of Norman Vick and his wife Donna of London, and Kathy McKillop and her husband Larry of Strathroy. Dear brother of Joyce Lefler and her husband Keith, Joanna Howe and her husband Brian, and Tom Newton all of London. Predeceased by his 2 brothers Billy and Richard. Also loved by his 6 grandchildren; Nathan, Hayley, Samantha, Trevor, Cameron and Matthew. Remembered dearly by his several nieces and nephews. Jack was a proud veteran and was privileged to serve his country during the Second World War with the Fort Garry Horse and the Royal Canadian Regiment. He also served with the Lord Strathcona Horse in Korea. Jack later was employed at the University of Western Ontario library for over 17 years. Friends will be received 1 hour prior to the funeral service being conducted in the chapel of the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London, on Tuesday August 10th at 1 P.M with Reverend Darrell Shaule officiating. Interment in Oakland of Mount Pleasant Cemetery, London.
