Dear Jack and family;
I was truly saddened to read in the Free Press this morning of Mary’s passing. It’s been many years since I last saw her. We worked together a Westminister Hospital in the late 70’s. Mary was a wonderful head nurse, always so calm, cool and patient. As a young nurse I always felt that I was firmly under her wing and benefitted greatly from her experience. I remember her quiet sense of humour and easy, relaxed manner with everyone she dealt with; from visitors to orderlies to surgeons, they were all treated the same. I’m sure she had many fans! I hope your family and memories will be a comfort to you in the days ahead.
sincerely,
Lynda(Scott) Reid
I have just spoken to my brother, Ross Keeler, to advise him of the passing of Mary. He and Wilma just arrived in P.E.I. – therefore, they will be unable to attend Mary’s funeral tomorrow.
Ross asked me to send their love and sympathy to the Anderson family at this sad time, and to advise you that they will call when they return.
Please accept my sincere condolences as well.
