HUMPHREY — At London Health Sciences Centre, Victoria Campus, on Monday June 21st 2004, Ronald Henry Humphrey of London in his 83rd year. Beloved husband of Patricia (Percy) Humphrey. Dear father of Janet Humphrey and her husband Stephen Engelhardt of Alliston, Jill Humphrey and Ian Humphrey both of England. Dear brother of Dorothy Davies and her husband Ivor of England. Also loved by his four grandchildren Colleen, Allison, Dillon and Nikki; and fondly remembered by his sister-in-law April Chappell and family. Born in England, joined Royal Air Force Coastal Command as navigator and second pilot. Served with distinction from 1940 to 1946 in many theatres of war earning the Distinguished Flying Cross plus other decorations. Emigrated to Canada in 1956 which he enjoyed as his adopted home travelling many miles throughout North America. Friends will be received by the family from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. Thursday at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London, where the funeral service will be conducted in the chapel on Friday June 25th at 11 A.M. Cremation to follow. Memorial donations would be appreciated to the Parkinson Society Canada, 4500 Blakie Road, Unit 117, London N6L 1G5, or the London Health Sciences Centre Foundation, 747 Baseline Road East, London N6C 2R6. Many thanks for the excellent care and support provided by the emergency and second floor east staff at South Street. Truly appreciated by the family. We were so very sorry to hear of Ron’s passing. He was a delightful and colourful man who lived an interesting and fulfilling life, and through his family, he has left a legacy that will endure. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all, at this saddest of times. Amidst the sorrow, we hope that the memory of the love that you had for each other, and the good times that you shared, will help ease the pain.
