My sincerest condolences on your loss. I had the pleasure of working with Tom at London Life. The obituary in the newspaper was exactly right. I always appreciated his keen mind and just as importantly his sense of humour. There are so many warm memories of Tom that many of us here at London Life treasure.
My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Sue, we want to express our deepest sympathy to you and your daughters. I am sure you know that Tom had a wonderful influence on so many of us that worked with him at London Life. His humor and smile always broke up many a tense and difficult meeting to keep it all in perspective. We will all miss him as a friend and a great colleague. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you!
Dear Sue and family, I am so sorry for your loss. Tom was a great guy – always cheerful and happy with his funny laugh. He helped me plan the trip of my life to the Maritimes a few years ago so I always think of him when I think of my trip. Everyone on 5C loved Tom and we have missed him since he left the company. We will always think of him with great fondness. Please accept my deepest condolences.
Dear Sue, Alison and Margaret
Tom was always so interesting, interested, wry, sweet and supportive; it’s difficult to imagine the depth of your loss. We share your sadness but remember our time with him with gladness. Jeannie and Alan Hazel
I’ll remember best Tom’s humour, and his laugh. He also spoke to a lot of people and used their names, which endeared him to many folks at London Life.
To Tom’s Family
Tom touched many lives as I am sure you are aware. You will not know me, however, I was an associate of Tom’s at London Life. I enjoyed Tom’s ready laugh and his enjoyment of the Friday afternoon hockey games.
As a measure of the respect people held for his business acumen I will relay a memory from around 1997. I was waiting to go into a meeting in the boardroom when Tom came out to use the phone. He returned a call from someone at city hall. In the minutes he was on the phone it became obvious to me that they had some short term money they wished to invest and they were asking Tom for his opinion to help out the city. That has always stuck with me somehow – here he was at London Life obviously extremely talented and helping out his community at a moments notice. After the call he and I talked about it and to him it was no big deal and he was glad to help.
I would like to offer my condolences to you and let you know that Tom is remembered fondly by so many he touched here at London Life.

Please accept my sincere condolences with the recent passing of Tom. He was a terrific guy with a great heart and a bright mind. He was a big help to me and my team during the infancy of our business. London has lost a very special person and he will certainly be missed. My best to the family.
Paul.
I wish to extend my condolences to the family, as I just recently heard of your loss. I had the privelege of working with Thom in my capacity as portfolio manager at Sceptre Investment Counsel. I always enjoyed and admired Thom’s keen intellect, great sense of humour and genuine warmth. He was indeed a gentleman and a scholar and will be greatly missed by many. My thoughts are with you at this difficult time.
