To The Family and Special Thoughts to Jon, Shayna, Michael, Bethany and Arianna.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Dear Gingrich Family,
We are very sorry to hear of the passing of your dad, Arthur. We will remember him fondly. We knew him as a kind and gentle man and a loving husband and father. I came upon the poem and message today that he wrote when your mother passed away and was reminded of his love of words and his wonderful talent. Because of his fine example, you have a large and loving family and will find the strength to get through this sad time together. We send our deepest sympathies to each of you.
Sincerely
Carol and Dennis Luiting

To all of Art and Marie’s family I offer my deep sympathy and warm wishes on the passing of your second parent Art. He was a gaint of a man in so many ways. I loved his warmth and vitality, his strongly beating heart of a poet, his depth of wisdom into the meanings of life, his highly inclusive spirituality. I’m so sorry circumstances do not permit my attendance at the funeral today. May you have a rich time of sharing memories together. Lovingly, Cousin Mary Burkholder
Dear Philip.
It was good to talk with you last week. Little did I realise your dad was so close to eternity. Thanx for remembering Northern Ontario with an obituary in the Sudbury Star. Now we rely on the next generation to honor the life of your father, and his mission work in the Markstay community. Blessings to all the family, Mary (Martin) & Howard Wideman

To the Arthur Gingrich family,
Dear friends, Dave & I send our sincere sympathy to all members of the family on the death of your father. I (Erma) have fond memories of the times our family and yours spent together at your home in Markstay and all the Bible schools done with my dad (Thomas Martin). Your parents were special people and will be missed in deed. We were away when your dad made a visit here recently. We were sorry to have missed him. May God’s presence surround all of you, during this sad time.
With love,
Erma (Martin) & Dave Nicol

My sister Jean, brother Henry,Jane and I send condolences.Arthur had a hand in reaching many people for the Lord in the Markstay area. Jesus said we would become like the angels when in the life after this one to thoes whom he died for and redeamed. We must let God controle everything in our lives. Then ever lasting life is sure! We are trusting God will bless and keep you all untill we meet again.
Dear Peter,Philip, andJohn. My sincere regrets for your father’s death. It was really great to see Arthur, when he visited Mahlon and Norma Bast last year. My prayers and best wishes are with you. Your long ago friend, Paul Martin
Heartfelt sympathies and prayer support are extended to you, the family and friends of Arthur Gingrich, from the Missions & Service Commission of Mennonite Church Eastern Canada. I did not know Arthur personally, nevertheless this office is well aware of his pioneering work in the mission field on behalf of the Mennonite Church. As I write these words, I have before me a letter he wrote in June of 2002 and it is a letter that exudes grace, humility, dignity and faithfulness. I have no doubt that Arthur extended these qualities to all who crossed his path. May the peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you as you grieve this loss and may you be granted the courage to live the legacy Arthur has left you.
