POULTON:
At London Health Sciences Centre, South Street Campus on Monday, March 1, 2004. Archie H. Poulton of London in his 83rd. year. Dear husband of Yvonne (Raine)(Craig) Poulton. Dear father of Steven Poulton and his wife Lorie and her son Kyle of Appin and Sandra and her husband Roger Murphy of London. Loving grandfather of Scott and Shawn Murphy and Shannon Poulton. Predeceased by his first wife Frances Mary Sinclair (1993) and brother Robert Victor Poulton (1972). Survived by one sister Marjorie and her husband Robert Jervis of Dearborn, Michigan. Archie worked for C. N. for 38 years, was a veteran of the R C N V R from 1942 – 1946 and saw convoy duty in the North Atlantic. He was a life member of St. John’s Lodge No. 20 A.F. & A.M., Lodge of Perfection, London Chapter Rose Croix and Moore Consistory of A. & A.S. Rite, having served as organist in those bodies for many years. He was Master of Daylight Lodge No.735 A.F. & A. M., London in 1998. He received his 33rd degree Scottish Rite in 1999. He was a member of Mocha Shrine A A O N M 5 and enjoyed participation in the Director’s Staff and London Shrine Club Units. Friends will be received by the family from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London Funeral service will be conducted at Elmwood Avenue Presbyterian Church, 111 Elmwood Avenue, London on Friday. March 5th at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Kevin Steeper officiating. Interment in Dorchester Union Cemetery, Dorchester. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made to Elmwood Avenue Presbyterian Church, 111 Elmwood Avenue, London ON N6C 1J4, Shriners Hospital for Children, c/o Mocha Temple, 468 Colborne Street, London ON N6B 2T3, Masonic Foundation of Ontario, 361 King Street West, Hamilton, ON L8P 1B4, Scottish Rite Charitable Foundation, London Learning Centre-Operations, 453 Dufferin Avenue, London, ON N6B 1Z7, Canadian Cancer Society, 123 St. George Street, London ON N6A 3A1 or Canadian Diabetes Association, 442 Adelaide Street, North, London ON N6B 3N8. A Masonic Service will be held in the chapel Thursday evening at 7 o’clock under the auspices of St. John’s Lodge No. 20 A.F. & A.M. and Daylight Lodge No. 735 A.F.& A.M. We met Archie at the Royal Canadian Naval Association in the 1990s and highly regarded him as a friend. We extend our sincerest sympathy to his widow, Yvonne, and to all members of the families.
