Dear Ruth; our sincere condolences for your loss of Jim. Our prayers are with you and your family.
The family of Jim McCallum,
My name is Jessie, and I was saddened to hear the news of his passing. I moved to Dorchester to start grade 7 and Mr. McCallum was my first teacher. He was one of the best teachers I’ve ever had. He had a rough time trying to settle a class full of rowdy pre-teens, but he always tried his best. Probably not his 1st choice for his last year teaching, but he never complained. Although he proabably never knew it, he inspired me and many others a great deal to be good people. He told us at the start that he could make a guess as to what we would become and that we would have a 10 year reunion to see if he was right. I was really looking forward to our reunion, and to see what he thought I would become. My deepest sympathies to all that were a part of his wonderful life.
Sincerely,
Jessie Seifried
