At London Health Sciences Centre, South Street Campus on Sunday, January 4, 2004. Donald A. Bates of London in his 74th year. Beloved husband of Patricia (Richman) Bates. Dear father of Cheryl Andrews and her husband David of New Market, Alicia Crummer and her husband Howard of London, Donna Post and her husband Rob of Calgary, Michael Bates, Dale Bates both of Port Stanley, Cynthia Couture-White and her husband Bruce of Dublin, Georgia and Wayne Broderick and his wife Kathy of London. Also loved by his grandchildren, Patrick Barber of Guelph, Christopher Barber of Calgary, Amanda Vanden Heuvel and her husband Mark of London, Rebecca Gouthro and her husband A.J. of Lambeth, Jason Rivoire and his wife Barb, Janet, Kelly and Joey Post all of Calgary , Derek Bates of Ottawa, Jessica Bates and Stacy Broderick both of London, and his 9 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received by the family from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London. A service to celebrate Donald’s life will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Friday, January 9th at 11:00 a.m. A private family Interment of cremated remains to follow at Woodland Cemetery, London (on line condolences accepted at www.amgeorgefh.on.ca)

We will miss his weekley visits into the branch.Mr Bates seemed so happy to come in and make all of us smile. He will be sadley missed at TD Canada Trust. From all of us at the Wellington and Baseline branch.
