Suddenly at her residence in London on Tuesday, April 8th, 2003, Mrs. Shirley (Lawrance) Weekes of London in her 89th year. Beloved wife of Leonard George Ross Weekes. Dear mother of Larry Weekes and his wife Yolande of London and Brian Weekes and his wife Jovina of Richmond Hill. Dear sister of Marion Janes of London. Predeceased by her brothers Jack and William Lawrance. Dear grandmother of Michael Weekes and Jason Tomaz. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Shirley was a long time volunteer at Civic Hospital in Ottawa and University Hospital in London as well as a member of Sweet Adelines, Ottawa Chapter. Friends will be received by the family from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street, South, London where the complete funeral service will be conducted in the chapel on Saturday, April 12th, 2003 at 2:30 p.m. with Pastor Robert J. Smith of London Gospel Temple officiating. Cremation. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice. (Online condolences accepted at www.amgeorgefh.on.ca)
