MATHESON —- At London Health Sciences Centre, University Campus, on Tuesday February 18th 2003, G. Douglas Matheson of London passed away peacefully in his 93rd year. Beloved husband of the late Meta (Sheardown) Matheson. Dear father of Gary Matheson and his wife Elizabeth of Port Colborne, and Michael Matheson and his wife Dona of Stratford. Also loved by his 4 grandchildren Graeme, Sean, Erin and Gwyneth. Dear brother-in-law of Yvonne Campbell and her husband John of Bayfield, Helen Riley of Goderich, Watson Sheardown and his wife Charlotte of Zurich, and their families. Friends will be received one hour prior to the complete funeral service being conducted in the chapel of the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London, on Saturday February 22nd at 1 P.M. with Reverend Philip Newman of Riverside United Church officiating. Cremation with interment of cremated remains at Maitland Cemetery, Goderich. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to Riverside United Church Memorial Fund, 451 Dunedin Drive, London N6H 3G9, would be appreciated by the family. Mr.Doug Matheson hired me at the Royal Bank in St Catharines Ont in October 1946. I have had the privilige of knowing him all these years. We would meet at Royal Bank functions and on the golf course and at the bowling alley.N.D.W.
