I am so very sorry to hear about the death of Bernie. I work in the main office at Beal, and I would sometimes see Bernie in the evening when I worked late. He always had a friendly greeting and a smile. We will miss him here at Beal. Our thoughts are with his family. Please accept our deepest sympathy. Sincerely, Pat Daly

I’m very sorry to hear about the loss of Bernie. He was a dear friend to me when I worked at Beal, and I have good memories of standing in the old auto shop and listening to him talk about his favourite team, the Canadiens. Bernie never failed to make me laugh, and he made many a long day pass quicker. He was a bright light, and he will be sorely missed.

Bernie was a fine gentleman and a friend. I looked forward to chatting with Bernie here on the 3rd floor at Beal Secondary School every afternoon. He was a very quiet fellow. I had the priviledge of playing golf with Bernie several times at Fanshawe. On the course he was not as quiet. I loved his keen sense of humour.
I will always be thinking of my friend Bernie both here at school and on the course.

Sorry to hear about your loss. I had worked with Bernie at Beal SS as a custodian.
He was a good mentor and teacher for myself. He had told many great golf stories and showed me the way into country music.
I was very saddened to hear of his passing.
