Obituary
HOPPE: After a brief illness, surrounded by his family at London Health Sciences Centre, South Street Campus, London, Ontario, on Friday, March 8, 2002, Henry J. Hoppe in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of the late Hildegard Grohe (1962). Dear father of Margaret Eadie and her husband Neil, and Rhoda Eadie and her husband Charles all of London. Dear Opa of Paul Eadie and Shelley Allen, Tanya,Kalyn Eadie and Kendra Eadie all of London. Mr. Hoppe was a well-known and respected violinist in the London community. He taught for many years in London public schools as well as privately, and was also concert master of the London Symphony Orchestra for several years. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service for Mr. Hoppe will be held in the chapel of the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London on Saturday, March 16, at 1:00 p.m. followed by a reception for family and friends. Interment of ashes at a later date in Woodland Cemetery, London. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may made to the charity of your choice.
