my deepest condolences on the loss of Annabel. I will miss her dearly.
Miss Sells was one of my favourite instructors. She was very caring and had a great sense of humour.
My condolences to her family and friends.
I have very fond memories of Annabel and also of Bill. I helped them move into Amica from their home on McGarrell Dr. a number of years ago and then moved Annabel again to a smaller suite after Bill passed away. She was a lovely person, always so interesting to talk to. We work with a lot of retired nurses and whenever I bring up her name they all remember “Miss Sells” and all have only good things to say. My condolences.
I met Annabel as young nurse. Her passion for nursing was contagious.
Annabel and I met in Los Angeles in 1981 at a international nursing convention where she invited me to join her and her colleague, Dorothy, for various activites. Fun times were had at Disyneyland where we all donned Mickey Mouse hats and got lost in Hollywood. Since then we have maintained a very special friendship. Me, not being from London, was always welcome at the Sells’ homestead in Melrose where Bill and Annabel were great hosts. Yummy meals were a feature of my stays. Such hospitality continued after their move to London. During my twice yearly visits, we always joined with Dorothy for dinners and outings. I will miss her warm smile, her genuine interest in people and what we were up to and her intelligent never-failing interesting conversations. I know how she was close to her family and extend my sincere condolences on her death. She lived a very long and meaningful life and leaves many memories for us to cherish.
On behalf of the girls and I, we would like to extend our condolences to the family. Annabel will be forever in our hearts.
Rest in peace.
My heart aches at the loss of this dear nursing colleague, mentor, and friend. We shared many wonderful times together at Sigma Theta Tau nursing conventions and while forming the Iota Omicron chapter at Western University (then UWO). I haven’t lived in ON for over 30 years yet Annabel called me every couple of months for a long visit until maybe June 2023. I will miss hearing her voice and her positive, enthusiastic and grateful view on life even with the challenges it presented in the last few years. And she made some great homemade pies and date squares! She will be missed but forever remembered.
