Gord was an awesome husband to my sister Charm and a great Father to their Children April and Steve . He was such a nice man. We always enjoyed seeing and visiting him in London when we visited. You will be thiroughly missed Gord. Rest easy in the arms of your beloved Charm and give her a kiss and a hug from us.
Marion and family….my memories of “Uncle Butch” involved Marigold (woof) and it was truly obvious of his love for animals but even greater was his love for his family. You will miss him in ways BIG and small but his impact in your lives will never diminish. Praying for you in the days ahead that God will wrap His arms around you and give you comfort.
Butch and I were very close as children. I was always staying over at our Aunt Kay’s and Uncle Doug’s. Butch was like a big brother to me. I have many great childhood memories of those times. Life took us apart due to work but in later years we got to spend time together.
R.I.P. Butch.
To the Wood Family:
Please accept our deep condolences on the loss of Gord. He was our neighbour and a wonderful man. We loved chatting with him when we saw him in the drive way or sitting out on his porch. A few memories stick out — We gave your Dad some roses following our wedding and he returned the vase with the sweetest bouquet of crazy daisies and well wishes. Another time, we had a surprising knock on our door and there was you Dad – holding a bunny he found in his backyard! We laughed so hard — He just wanted to show us because he thought the bunny was so cute! We shared a love of cats and he was very proud of the cat shelter he prepared to help local animals who needed a warm/dry place to rest. He knew we fostered kittens and came by many times when we were welcoming new litters and always loved snuggling them! We miss Gord. We couldn’t have asked for a better neighbour and we hope that your memories of what a kind and sweet man he was will help you through this difficult time.
Sincerely,
Laura and James Taron
