In the early 1980’s I became one of the first female basketball officials. Murray was so kind and supportive. Any issues I face because I was female, he quietly help me deal with them. He had a wonderful sense of humour and he made everyone feel welcomed and respected. He has left a lasting legacy.
I was in touch with Murray recently
Sorry to read about his death. He he lived a long life, as did his wife His wife Shirley, who was a cousin of mine.
My sympathies to the family.

Michelle and Mike, I have so many wonderful memories of your Dad and Mom. The BEST Neighbours ever! What a magical childhood we had growing up side by side. Your Dad was such a gentle kind man – even though he used to yell at me and later at Jonathon for running across his lawn. And then smile and laugh!
