Peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, October 30, 2023, at Victoria Hospital, London, Joanne passed away in her 76th year. Beloved wife of the late Paul Smith (2010). Loving mother of Anastasia (Ken) Coffin and Michael Smith. Cherished grandma of Weston, Callum and Everleigh. Dear sister of Catherine Dobec. Predeceased by her siblings Robert Fisher and Mary Zelinski. Joanne will be lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Joanne’s grandchildren were her greatest treasures and brought her much happiness and joy. In her retirement she kept active and social with golf, bowling and having lunch with the ladies. A private service has been held with immediate family. As an expression of sympathy, donations in memory of Joanne may be made to the London Regional Cancer Program. Arrangements entrusted with A. Millard George Funeral Home, 519-433-5184. Online condolences, memories and photographs shared at www.amgfh.com
Joanne was a lovely neighbour. She enjoyed a good laugh and was always ready to say lend a helping hand, when it was needed. I shall miss seeing her in our 6th floor neighbourhood.

My condolences to Anastasia and Michael and families.
I worked with Joanne for many years, she was not only a co-worker and neighbour but a truly remarkable person and friend.
She loved her grandchildren very much and also had extra love to share to our daughter as well. Madison has very fond memories of spending time with Joanne and Weston years ago.
It was an honour to know her, and call her a friend. She will truly be missed.

Always enjoyed Joanne’s company, she always knew how to through a good party or get together. She was great with her grandkids. And her best friend Heather was a delight, they were great jokers. RIP Joanne

I wish to express my deepest condolences to Joanne’s family. I only got to know Joanne during the past year and enjoyed several outings with her. Such a pleasant classy lady who was taken far too soon…
Sincerely, Dinie Whittle
