And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said,Father, into my hands I commend my spirit;and having said thus,he gave up the ghost. Luke23:46. I did not know Lorena, but Sue would tell me about her and she was a very strong spirited woman. May her memories keep you strong in your time of sorrow and loss. Laura House and family
We are saddened to learn of Lorena’s passing. I had such great fun so many years ago playing bridge with Lorena, her family & friends. Lorena was so very kind to include me & very accepting of my questionable bridge skill.
With symapathy to her family,
Beth
I have just learned of Lorena’s death, and am very sorry. As I’m sure you know Lorena worked at London Hydro for many years in the Executive Office. Lorena trained me before her retirement and I am still doing her job. Lorena was one of the nicest people I have met, she was well-liked and respected by her co-workers.
She was a great person to work under; she shared her knowledge willingly and was always open for new ideas.
Even after her retirement I occasionally called her for help and she was more than willing to assist. After Lorena retired I often ran into her in Wortley Village, always cheerful and on the go. Unfortunately I hadn’t heard of her illness. My thoughts are with her family today. I will always remember Lorena fondly.
I would like to extend my heartfelt sympathy to Lorena’s family members. I was not aware that she had been ill, so was surprised to see the obituary. Just last month Marilyn, who also works here at London Hydro, and I were talking that we had not seen Lorena for quite sometime, as we would see her at lunch times in Old South if we were out walking as she was always out and about! It was great seeing her and she liked to catch up on what was going on at work, and we liked to talk to her about how much she was enjoying her retirement.
Lorena was in the Executive Offices when I started at the then PUC 29 years ago, and I had the pleasure of working with her in the Executive Offices for quite sometime before she retired. She was always a very diligent worker, but always had time to give you one of her great smiles and have a little chit chat.
She is someone I respected and thought a lot of. She talked about her family proudly and really enjoyed when she got together with her nieces and nephews. I know you will all miss her.
I am sorry I didn’t know she had been ill, and I really hope that she didn’t have much suffering.
With Sincere Sympathy

I don’t know where to begin. My great aunt lorena was exactly that GREAT! The love and the bond that we shared goes beyond the scope of the english language and the written word. Love is something unexplainable by any science or logical instiution know to human kind. It is indeed what all creatures upon this wonderous planet thrive on for their very existence as we know it.
She I believe knew this all too well, and passed it on to all that were fourtunate enough to be touched by her existence.
She still lives with me in my heart , and forever will as long as I love. I love you Aunt lorena and no matter how far away we are, You will always be close to me.
Your loving nefew- Andrew D. McGhee
Lorenea was a kind, thoughtful, generous woman. She will be greatly missed but fondly remembered.
I am a P.E.O. sister of Lorena’s and I regret that I am not able to come to London to pay my respects to her, and to all of her family members. I had the priviledge of service on the P.E.O. Provincial Board with Lorena and found her to be a very intelligent, thoughtful, kind and beautiful human being. My deepest sympathy to all her loved one’s, as well as her dearest P.E.O. siter and friend, Ann Chambers.
May all the special moments you have shared be a comfort in your time of sorrow. We are sorry to hear of Lorena’s passing but may it be a comfort to know she is no longer suffering. Our thoughts and prayers are with each of you.
Sincerely, Glen Irene Paul and Blair Verheye
Lorena was and still is my Aunt. I will always remember her kindness and warm heart. She would go out of her way to personally deliver birthday cards at our residence. My most fond memories of my loving Aunt were the time her and I shared when we would play Crokinole when I would visit her at her house. We both thoroughly enjoyed this. My family and I will miss her Christmas time ‘Nuts N’ Bolts’ every Christmas morning while the family would enjoy all our company in front of the Christmas tree.
The family loves you Aunt Lorena, rest in peace and we’ll see you later.
– Your loving Nephew, Jamie.
Seldom in our lifetime do we get to know someone who touches our life deeply. Lorena touched mine. She was a quiet, gentle, dedicated woman who loved her family and friends and was always willing to help others. Lorena was there for me and I am thankful to her and for her life. She was an inspiration. She will be missed forever.
Love
Dave
