Dear Narumi & Eric,
Taeko will always be remembered in the Crest Bakery for her gentle, quiet manner. She was meticulous in making her buttertart syrup, tart shells, apple pie filling and so much more. On Friday mornings after she quietly washed and cleaned the Pantry, you were always assured that items were lined up perfectly for you to find when needed. I miss those Fridays! We got to talk – not much, but it was meaningful.
Our dear departed friends, John & Chiyo Kumagai recalled what a brilliant pianist
she was – sadly something we didn’t all get to experience. Taeko took an interest
in our youngest daughter Emily’s (24) musical adventures with violin, piano, etc.
There was always an interest in music – we used to play classical tapes some Friday mornings when there were no noisy disturbances in the Bakery.
Nearly 30 yrs. ago, as a neighbour, I recall the Crest Tupperware party and the first time I met Taeko and the sweet little smile when we had to play silly Tupperware games for prizes. We loved it!
With love, thankfulness and fond memories of Taeko.
