We were so saddened to hear of Bob’s passing. He will be so missed by all in the Bayfield area. We will not forget such a sincere gentle man and all the many years of memories working at the Camp. Sincerely , Bob and Carolyn Snell
To the Ridley family,
I want to express my condolence on your loss. I knew John almost
from the time he was first at Grand Avenue as I too was injured in an
automobile accident the same year. I ‘ve made use of Parkwood’s respite
program down over the years and shared a room with John a number
of times, and I will fondly remember John for the welcoming nature and
consideration he always extended towards me .I’ll miss him.
I’m sure the staff too will miss him greatly as he was like a family
member to them.

I just found out that John died 2 years ago tomorrow. I visited John at Parkwood for 20 years. I am sad to hear he is no longer with us. When I am feeling down I often think of John. He always seemed rather upbeat. We often talked about technology. I was impressed by his ability to craft e-mails.
I first visited John when he lived on Grand Ave. Our church youth group went over to Parkwood to visit the folks there.
The last time I visited John I took my two eldest daughters. John was very polite to them. At that time he indicated he was not well. I got the sense then that he knew his time was short.
I trust all is well with you.
