Allison and Jan: What can one say at a time like this? My heart and my thoughts are with you and your family. Judie
From everyone at Ladies’, our thoughts are with you.
We are devastated at the loss of such a beautiful child, such a loving soul. It was our treat to have met her and enjoyed your happiness with her. We will say a prayer for her and you. We are all thinking of you in this difficult time.
Dear Jan and Allison,
No words can measure to the sorrow you must feel.
You are both in our thoughts and prayers.
Our deepest sympathies,
Norm and Liz
I am very sorry about what happened. Jordan was young and it wasn’t her time to go.
Jordan always had a smile on her face and that means she was always happy. I loved playing with Jordan in the mornings before I left for school. I’m going to miss Jordan alot she was a sweet little girl. I’m really sorry for you.
Joey Harris
My family and I are very saddened by your loss.
Jan and Allison, we are so sorry for your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
What can one say to ease your pain? I’ve heard that some cultures mourn birth and rejoice in death for it means that the soul is free from the weights of the world. I hope this brings you some comfort at this very sad time in your lives. Our thoughts and prayers are with you always.
Allison and Jan,
Words can’t express the unbelieveble tragady that has happened. I never had the pleasure of meeting Jordan, however if she was anything like you both then we will all miss out on what she would have had to offer. It’s hard to make sense of things like this, but what gives me strength is to think that perhaps that loved one was needed elsewhere. These things are so difficult to understand.
Once again, our deepest condolences,
Raf and Sabrina
There are no words to describe how sorry we feel for your loss. Please know that Shauna and I care for you all deeply and are there for you always. Our deepest condolences.

Jan and Allison:
We never had the opportunity of meeting young Jordan but reveled in Jacqueline’s stories. We loved watching you when you were awaiting Jordan’s arrival.. then this. You know of what we speak when we say that we understand your sense of loss and the depth that grieving can take you. However, we promise you this.. Time is kind in these matters. At first begrudgingly, then after a healing period, with joy, you will revisit and remember how you were when Jordan was a part of your life.
Please take care of each other and know that your friends and family will always be there for you.
You are in everyone’s prayers.
Love,
Mike and Dar

Allison & Jan – my heartfelt and sincere condolences and prayers go out to you on the loss of beautiful Jordan. I remember her when you would bring her to the airport on the weekend – she was truly a beautiful, precious little girl. I cannot imagine what you both are going through but I offer you my complete support and prayers. God bless.
Dear Jan and Allison:
As I’m sure you are – I am still in shock and cannot express fully how sorry I am to hear of your news.
Having gone through a similar event many years ago, I can say that, eventually, the pain will subside and the wonderful memories will remain.
In the mean time, look after each other. The strength of your relationship can, and will bring you through this.
Once again – I’m very sorry
Take Care!
Tom Watson

Jordan has touched my life, the life of my children, and the lives of so many children and families at the child care centre. Jordan was a loving, happy child with a special sparkle about her. She will be missed beyond words, but we will treasure our special memories that we have of Jordan and she will never be forgotten.
We are here for you…

Dear Jan & Alison,
The message I receieved early Tuesday morning was difficult to take. I feel so badly for the two of you for such a loss. She was a such a beautiful little girl, who brought sunshine to many lives. I hope that during these painful moments that you can remember the gorgeous smile that she brought to your lives and keep it with you forever for her little soul can never be taken away from you. My sincerest and deepest sympathy to you and to both your families, both Gortzak and Youlton, for this tragic and sudden loss. My prayers are with you.
Allison & Jan you and your families are in my prayers in this very sad time for all of you.

Allison and Jan,
There are no words to describe my shock and I’m sure there are no word to describe what you are feeling during this horrible experience. I have done nothing but think about you both since Saturday.
No couple, nor Mother, nor Father should ever have to experience what you are experiencing. But, as you said Allison, there is no logic.
Please know that I am here for you both. And Allison, as your friend of over 30 years, I would fly to the ends of the earth and back to help you. Call on me for anything, even if it’s just to talk.
Love to you both, always.
Jon Marshall (Mikloshev)
Dear Allison and Jan, I am very sorry for your loss and the pain you must be feeling. Jordan was a sweet little girl. Love Christine

There are no words to express the feelings that we share with you at this difficult time. David, Sierra and I have been so saddened by your loss. Please know that we think of you each day and send you our love. We know that Jordan is definitely an angel sitting on your shoulder wiping each tear, sharing each smile and memory you have of her. She will live in your hearts forever and no one can ever take that away from you.
We send you a big hug and all the strength you need to make it through this difficult time.
Love Tamara, David and Sierra Fiacconi
An Angel Needed
In Memory of Jordon Aleena Gortzak
God looked down to the earth one day
He needed and angel to help him pray
There was a child of such pure love
He knew he needed her in the heaven above
Lord knows she would be sadly missed
The little laughs and the lips they kissed
Even thou her time was short in this place
She filled the world with such grace
Although you can not see her as before
Her presence is felt forever more
She is now the light that guides the way
And will be there with you each and every day
So take the strength that this child brings
Hear the words in heaven she sings
I am the love that will help you through
Till the time I am back with you.

Please accept my sincere condolence in the passing of your lovely daughter. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.
God’s thoughts are not our thoughts and His ways not our ways, but His love is steadfast and His mercy is endless.
May God give you the strength and graces as you deal with this difficult loss, and may His presence fill your hearts with so much love, knowing that your daughter is now in heaven along with His choirs of angels.
Sincerely,

My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this difficult time. With deepest sympathy. God Bless.

Our deepest sympathies go out to both the Gotrzak and Youlton familes. Please know that just enjoying the time that I did have with Jordan was like having my own granddaughter. Take each day as it comes, enjoy the good ones and deal with the bad ones together, and know that we are all here for you.
Being a new mom myself I cannot even imagine the pain and sorrow you feel. The one time I met Jordan her angelic soul had just awoken from her slumber as you took her out of her carseat and Jan was holding her. She gave me a serious and stern face and only let me see a little grin. But, from that little grin there was a burst of sunshine. She was a beautiful spirit and I will always keep her close in my thoughts, and you are all in my prayers. Her legacy will live on with you, because I know that there are no two better people who could have moulded that child into her beautiful self. I’m so sorry for your lose.
Love, Anat, Eytan, Noah and the Goldfarb Family
Dearest Allison and Jan;
Even though Raj has added our condolences here and we have had opportunities to speak these past few days, I feel the need to express my sentiments further….
It is heartwarming to come here and see messages from so many people who care for you both and have loved little Jordan. You are such wonderful people, and incredible parents, and it is a testament to you and to Jordan that so many are reaching out to you in your loss.
Although we all know that nothing we can say or write will truly ease any of your pain or loss, it still may be of some small comfort that you are NOT alone in your suffering. We are all thinking about both of you and about Jordan…you have not left my thoughts since we spoke Sunday morning. As mentioned by my parents, we have been through such a loss, and we can tell you that eventually Jordan’s light and the happiness she has brought you will shine through the dark and difficult fog you now feel.
Jacqueline cherishes her memories of Jordan; you know she adored her, as did we. it is so difficult to even acknowledge such a loss…I can only promise you that we will be there for you both and baby-to-be whenever, and in whatever ways you need us.
With all our love and sympathy,
Shauna, Raj and Jacqueline
Dear Allison, Jan, Rosanna and Bill:
As I write I see your little angel sitting in Rosanna’s chair in her office and cry. There are no words of comfort that can be said.

Love, Patrick.

Our hearts ached when Jan called Wednesday evening and we heard the news of Jordan’s tragic death.
Words seem so inadequate, but with this message comes our hearts filled with love and sympathy on the loss of your beautiful daughter.
We were fortunate to have had the opportunity to meet Jordan when you came to visit us in Ottawa over a weekend in April 2006. There, she showed us what a bright, playful and funny little girl she was, full of non-stop energy.
During this difficult time, we know you will draw upon your own strength and the strength of loved ones that hold you in their thoughts.
We are thinking of you.
Love,
Alison & Chris Kilford

Dear Jan and Allison!
We are so sorry to hear of your tragic loss. As parents we should never out live our children.
Your daughter was a very precious little girl always happy and smiling, although Makenzie is a year older than Jordan she enjoyed playing with her and will miss her dearly. When i told Makenzie of what happend to Jordan she asked why she wasn’t going to be able to play with her on the playground anymore. I explained to her that Jordan had gone to heaven to be with Jesus and that she is an angel now.
We will miss seeing her at the daycare. We wish you love and prayers through this difficult time.

Our hearts felt broken when we heard about this unbelievable tragedy and it has been hard to keep our eyes dry these last few days. There are no words to express our sorrow and sincere sympathy at this most difficult time for you and your family.
We will never forget the joyful time we had with Jordan. She was a little angel and she will stay as a little angle in our mind forever. Perhaps our losses are not stars in the sky but, rather openings where our loved ones shine down to let us know they are happy. May God give you the strength and the courage to bear this irreparable loss.
We may not be there every moment with you but we are always there for you-as a friend.
Thinking of you

My deepest sympathies during this difficult time for you and your family. My sister michelle works with Allison and as a mother my heart goes out to you all. I hope you can find some way to come at peace with this tragedy.
Although I did not have the honor of knowing Jordan very well, my son attends daycare and on several occasions Jordan would take the time to visit with my son on her way outdoors or on her other travels around the centre. Jordan was always bright and willing to share a hug with my son who is currently in the toddler room.
Your family is in our thoughts and prayers as well as hopes that you may soon find some peace.

Allison and Jan: As you so aptly put it, Allison, our next reason for getting together was not supposed to be like this. I remember watching you grow big with Jordan during your pregnancy, and seeing her as a ‘wee’ babe at our get together over coffee at Second Cup. I still cannot begin to believe that she is gone. Last night I forgot to tell you that Dave Lorbetskie sends his condolences and is very sorry that he was unable to come in person. His daughter is expecting and he had to leave for Ottawa yesterday. I’m sure you will hear from him in due time. Please take care of yourselves and take joy in the arrival of your new little one, whose very presence will help ease your pain. All the best to you both. Love Barbara and Xavier Santamaria

Allison & Jan,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Allison, I know how much you loved Jordan, as you often talked about her at our PC meetings. Words can not express the pain that I feel for you as a fellow parent. I never had the opportunity to meet Jordan but, from the other messages that have been left, I can tell that she was a very wonderful little girl. May your happy memories of her help you through this sad time. Take care.

Dear Allison, Jan, Rosanna and Bill,
It was with great sadness that heard about the death of Jordan. Although I had only really met her for the first time a couple of weeks ago when you brought her into the office, I felt as if I had known her all her life thanks to RosannaGÇÖs tales. I canGÇÖt think of any words to comfort for you at such a tragic time in your lives only that you should look to each other for consolation and that in time, I hope and I pray that the shock and emptiness you feel now will ease up and be replaced with the knowledge that Jordan was loved and cherished by all who knew her. I shall keep you all in my prayers. Susan Hughes

Mr. & Mrs. Gortzak:
I just wanted to take a moment to express my deepest sympathy and sorrow to you both. We did not know each other, but we did see your husband and little Jordan taking a walk by our cabin that Saturdat afternoon….she looked at us as we said Hello and smiled shyly…I remember saying to Bruno, she is the cutest little thing, I am sure they boys will love to meet her. Well, that opportunity never came instead the unthinkable happened.
Please know that our thoughts, prayers, and love are with your family and we will always remember little Jordan and every star and rainbow I see will always bring a smile to my face for I believe that Jordan is now looking down on us all.
Be strong, and be brave the coming days are tough but you will find the strengh within yourselves to go on.
The best of luck with your to be little bundle and please take care of each other.
Sincerely,
Paula
