LILLIE:
Mary Ellen (Gilpin) Lillie has gone home to be with the Lord. In the arms of her adoring husband, John Lillie and surrounded by her loving family she passed peacefully, in her 84th year, at University Hospital, London on Thursday, January 18, 2007. Dear mother of Karen McColl and her husband Hugh, Janet Lillie and John Lillie and his wife Felicity all of London. Predeceased by her sister Gloria Huling and husband Glen and brother Roy Gilpin and his wife Margaret. Also loved by her grandchildren, Patti McColl and her husband Lincoln Williams, Laura Johnson and her husband Donovan, Ryan McColl and his wife Tammy and Alan Lillie and his wife Amie, her great-grandchildren, Clayton, Holly, Joshua, Rachel, Olivia, Faith and Wesley and her nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends will be received by the family from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London. A complete funeral service will be conducted at Mount Zion United Church, 471 Ridgewood Cres., London on Monday, January 22nd at 2:00 p.m. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made to Mount Zion United Church Benevolent Fund, 471 Ridgewood Cres., London, ON N6J 2H6 or the charity of your choice. You may not know me, but I remember Mary-Ellen as a fellow painter, a long time ago when we lived in London. I enjoyed her fellowship a lot. I remember her coat was always full of paint-spots!
