Dear Bruce and Mies, I would like to express my condolences to both of you and your families. What a blessing it must have been to your mother, Bruce to be able to celebrate the last few years of her nearly 100 years of life close to you and Mies in London. I know how much you both cared for her and how dear she was to you. I will be happy to make a donation in your mother’s name to the Salvation Army. Sincerely, Maya Clarke
Thank you for allowing us to participate in the remembrance of the life of Jenny. Our long time association with Jenny through the Mon Alex club provides us with many happy memories. Our thoughts are with you all at this time. She was a great lady.
Dearest Bruce and Mies
Please accept our sincerest condolences with your loss of your very special mom. What an unbelievable lady she has been and what wonderful memories you must have of such a loving mother and mother-in-law. We have lit a candle for her and you because we only found out about your loss a few minutes ago when I was talking to Maxine. I know your mom’s funeral service is underway now and we would have tried to be strong enough to come but we are certainly with you in our thoughts.
I will never forget her twinkle in her eyes when I met her seven or so years ago when I almost fell off my chair after she told me her age. She must have been very used to that reaction because what an unbelievable beautiful and fun and vital lady she was. Thinking of her and especially knowing that your mother had to live through the same grief we feel, three times over again, has given us strength to keep walking our dark and thorny path.
We wish you strength, love and much support for the upcoming time in your lives when you will miss her presence, her love and her wisdom.
Love always from us,
Jaap, Carrie, Bianca and Michael who will always live in our hearts
