Hi,
I wanted very much to make it to the visitation today, but because of my school schedule am unable. I work in the dining room at Longworth Retirement Home, and I think that in this particular department we see a lot of the residents and spend a lot of time with them, as we are with them for their meals three times a day.
Johanna has been at Longworth since before I began to work there three years ago, and, even though we are not supposed to have them, was consistently one of my favorite residents. I thought you should know how happy I always was to be a server in her section, and how good she always made us feel. Johanna could make me smile even wheN I was having a bad day. She was forever telling the servers how nice we were, how pretty we were, and noticing small details like our earrings or hair that day, and pointing out how much she liked them.
Johanna meant a lot to all of us, and it was very sad to see her in and out of hospital in the past little while.
You have my condolences and prayers, and I just wanted to let you know that I felt blessed to know Johanna for the brief time that I did. She was a joy to be with.
