Hi Alf,
It was with mixed feelings that I read of Lenore’s passing. While I had joy for her in entering the presence of the Lord Jesus, I felt sorrow for you in this great loss of her company for a little while. How often my brother and I would enjoy chatting with you both at the Seven Dwarfs on a Sunday noonhour!
I’m sorry that I’m not able to attend the visitation or the funeral service, but it is a bit too far to travel from Nantong, China where God now has me serving. However, I will certainly be remembering you in prayer and thanking my God for every remembrance of you both!
God bless you!
Dear Alf,
We had mixed feelings about the news we heard yesterday. Lenore has been such a model for us, as she has struggled with her health issues for a long time and has trusted the Lord through all of this. You also have meant a lot to us as you have been so faithful to serve her.
I read in Colossians 3 this morning, about keeping our hearts focused on Jesus and His place sitting next to the Father. Then I read Rev 21 and 22, to be reminded about the glories of heaven. Lenore is there now experiencing God’s glory. What a thought and our hope!
We are currently in South Carolina for our granddaughter’s graduation. We have been here for a week and will be home in early June. We are so sorry to miss the visitation and service for Lenore. If we could, we would be there.
Blessings on you, Alf. We will be over to visit you soon after we return from Charleston. Our prayers are with you.
Love,
Gerry & Carol
