We were very shocked and saddened to learn that Lee had died. I have fond memories of sitting on the Old South Community Organization with Lee many years ago. I enjoyed our chats whenever we met at the grocery store or other places in Wortley Village. Derwyn, Amy and Tom, we send you our sincere condolences. It was a privilege to have known Lee.

I am so sorry that I couldn’t be there yesterday for the celebration of Lee – our long time friend. Medical appointments made it impossible. Derwyn – all your friends in the Beaver Valley hope that we can have a gathering here before the year ends. Hugs all ‘roud. Tom and Amy – sympathy to you and yours. Call up memories often.
Lee was such a genuine, compassionate and down to earth person, and we feel truly lucky to have known her. Her family was her greatest joy, and we’re thinking of you all at this time.
Very sorry to learn of Lee’s passing. Sending love and and our thoughts to everyone.
All of my sympathy reaches out to hug the Evans clan. Lee was an example of hospitality and patience and good humour—practical to the bone but those bones were made stronger by a hint of mischief marrow. I still hold Port Elgin visits close to my heart and it feels like just yesterday Lee was giving me some side eye while I feebly tried to win some kind of game (croquet, Scrabble) with a G&at in hand. Gratitude and sympathy to Derwyn, Tom and Amy.
Dear Derwyn, Amy, and Tom,
I cherish the memories I have of Lee: seeing your family’s progress on holiday puzzles, playing games and eating good food together, hearing about her Cuban community, and witnessing her delight in Wyatt and Oona.
My deepest condolences for your loss.
