JOHANNES, Mary…

Unexpectedly but peacefully, at University Hospital, London, Mary Johannes passed away on April 10, just four days before her 91st birthday. Loving wife of the late Edgar “Ed” Johannes (2017). Mother of Nancy and her husband, Bob Thibert, and the late Gail Johannes (2003). Treasured Grandmother of Jennifer MacDonald, Michelle and Shaun Bonnallie, and Jamie and Katrina Thibert. Adored and adoring Great Grandma of Sydney and Tanner MacDonald, Brady and Peyton Bonnallie, and Adrianna and Gavin Thibert.

Predeceased by her sister and lifelong best friend, Margaret Gay. Survived by her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Norma and Harold Sharpe. She will be missed by many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.

Mary worked at A&P Springbank Drive for over 25 years. Family was her love and her life. She loved to attend sporting events and was the biggest fan of her grandkids and great grandkids. Even though she did not like to travel at all, she did go on trips to follow her “stars” all over the province and to Michigan and Toledo. Mary, along with Grandpa, especially liked to help their coaches, referees and umpires. Of course, Tiger Woods was one of her favourites.

Our family wishes to thank the staff of the 6th and 10th floor of University Hospital, Byron Family Medical Centre’s most caring staff who went that extra mile, and all the help through CCAC.

Cremation has taken place and a private family graveside service has been held at Woodland Cemetery, London. If you wish, please make a donation to St. Joseph’s Hospice, 485 Windermere Road, P.O.
