I got to know Ruth through our shared love of musical/choral concerts. As time passed we became friends with others who shared this love. She was a gracious and wise friend who will be sorely missed. I am thankful for the good times we shared and for her special friendship.

Hello Family of Ruth Hughes:
So sorry to hear of Ruth’s passing on March 17, 2022.
Ruth was a friend of mine for the past few years, as we were both part of a small group we called ‘Chicklets’. We got together for a visit and tea every couple of months at each other’s homes. This photo was taken at Ruth’s home in October 2010. (Hopefully I can post it)
It all started because Ruth and Hazel B. and Wendy R. and Ellen M. all attended the annual Christmas concert of the London singers. (Both Wendy and I were London Singers).
After the concert, we would all get dinner together. But it wasn’t enough time for us ‘girls’ to discuss the issues. So we began our afternoon tea gathering. We enjoyed hearing everyone’s perspectives on life, the older mixed with the slightly younger…….
Ruth was always so intelligent and funny and pretty. It was a pleasure to know her.
And we the ‘Chicklets’ will all miss her a lot.
