Obituary
VINCE, Betty Irene Vince (Elliott)…
Betty Vince, 91, of London passed away peacefully at her residence on Monday, December 27, 2021.
Beloved mother of Carolyn Vince, the late Brenda Vince and Nancy Vince. Dear grandmother to Jamie Smith and David Smith. Survived by her son-in-law Steven Smith. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her parents Melvin and Blanche Elliott (Boyd), brothers Howard Elliott, Lavern Elliott, Charlie Elliott and sister Ina Moses. Also predeceased by her brother and sister-in-law Stan and Beth Vince.
Betty was a kind and selfless lady who lived for her family. She was known for her delicious cooking and baking, particularly pies and preserves, which she learned growing up on the family farm near Mitchell, Ontario. She spent most of the 50’s and 60’s in London marrying and having a family. In the 70’s she lived in Kanata raising her daughters through high school and university before returning to London in the early 80’s where she worked at an accounting firm for a number of years before joining the London Public Library until well into her 80’s. She enjoyed family trips to the Carolinas, Florida and the UK and Ireland, where she was able to track down her Elliott roots. She also enjoyed many happy family gatherings in Toronto including Christmases at Ashley Park Road with her grandsons. Throughout her life she was devoted to her daughter Carolyn, who resides with Community Living London.

So sorry to hear of Aunt Betty’s passing. A beautiful and gentle soul.
Her laughter was infectious and I will treasure the memories of many Christmases spent together. Wishing heartfelt sympathies to Carolyn, Nancy and all family and friends.
Susan, Michael, Lisa snd family.
I am so sorry to read of Betty’s passing. I worked with her at Kime, Mills Dunlop in London. She was a wonderful person and I always enjoyed her company during our work together.
I was saddened to hear of Betty’s passing. I worked with her at Kime Mills Dunlop, and she was a friend and amazing support to the young women who were starting their professional careers there – I’m sure she understood the challenges we were dealing with due to her own life story and the work done by Brenda at PwC – she often shared stories of her daughters who she clearly loved deeply. My deepest condolences to Betty’s family.
