I am so sorry to hear of my dear friend Ann’s passing. We had so many memorable times together on Friday nights as the ‘Golden Girls’ Moya, Donna, Rita myself and Ann. I can still hear her laughter….she was so proud of her sons and adored her grandsons and her special birthday gift of a granddaughter born on her birthday. She said it was the best birthday gift ever. My deepest sympathy’s for all Ann’s family. She was a kind, loving lady with a wicked sense of humour. I will miss her and remember her always. Judy
Ann became my sister through marriage. I always considered her a life-long family member and friend. Ann and I gave birth to our eldest children in London a week apart in 1967; her John and my Andrea (deceased,1973). I remember Ann showed much kindness to my family when we travelled to London when our children were young. It was obvious that she enjoyed the little ones. Ann was particularly kind to her niece Stephanie when she travelled to Winnipeg for her brother Bob’s funeral. Acts of kindness are NEVER forgotten, but are not mentioned enough to the giver. We were unaware of her illness and I am left with much sadness as we had discussed my plans to visit her on my next visit to London following the pandemic. Ann, you were a kind soul and will be lovingly remembered by me, Myrna, your nephews Derek and Jason and your nieces Myranda and Stephanie.
