CRIBBIN, Marion Beatrice (nee Turner)….
1935-2020
In the morning, on Wednesday, December 30, 2020, surrounded by love, we said goodbye to our sweet Mum, Marion Beatrice Cribbin. Certain in her faith that eternal life awaits her, she took comfort that she will be reunited with her dear husband Bill (Patrick George William Cribbin 1934-2009) in heaven.
Beloved family gone before her are her sister Eleni Patricia Dassoudis & her brothers Ken Turner and Edward Turner. Marion will be eternally loved and remembered by her brother Jim Turner (Mary) of Sarnia. As her children, Shelley Cribbin, Michael Cribbin (Lek), Paula Cribbin (Peter) and, Dorothy Macdonald (Ian) , we have been beyond blessed to have her love and kindness to guide us. Marion was so happy to be Nana to Jordan Cribbin, Jerrie Cribbin (Justin), Patrick Macdonald (Jena) and Abbey Macdonald (Sean) and to Fern Kemawanit (Ahm) and Ked (Jing) Kemawanit. She was always delighted to see photos and videos of her great granddaughters, Olivia Macdonald (Patrick & Jena) and Magic (Ked & Jing). Her sisters-in-law, Sandy Cribbin & Lorraine Cribbin (both of Burlington), and her brother-in-law, El Dassoudis, (Delta B.C.), her cousins and extended family were all very dear to her. “Aunt Marion” to her nieces and nephews, she made her home a welcoming place.
Born in Sarnia, she relocated to London’s Old South with Bill and her young family. She made many friends through the CWL at St. Martins of Tours, the Arthritis Society, the London Jazz Club, Ford Talbotville retirees’ group, and at the Dearness Home. Each and every person she met deserved her time and attention. “There’s good in everyone” she would say. Kind and easy to talk to, a joyful and generous spirit, her gentle perspective was always hopeful. Friends who were like family, Jill, Margaret, & Lorraine and her Bellevue neighbours, will forever cherish the memories they shared.
Our sincere gratitude goes out to the staff and volunteers of Dearness Home whose dedication is above and beyond. We will always be thankful for the beautiful souls on 4 West who cared for Mum. They were so very good to her – she loved them all. In her last days they shone, providing care for her with compassion and dignity. Their familiar faces and kind attention comforted her greatly.
A celebration of life for Mum will be announced when we can gather safely together again. Cremation has taken place and a private interment will follow. Donations in her memory, in lieu of flowers, can be made to Children’s Hospital Charities or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of your region and are warmly appreciated. Arrangements entrusted with A. Millard George Funeral Home, 519-433-5184. Online condolences, memories and photographs shared at www.amgfh.com
God Bless and Happy days

My family and I would like to express our sincere condolences for the loss of your Mum. Marion was a kind, loving, warm hearted lady who I had the pleasure of meeting at the Dearness Home. Marion was my Mom’s (Margaret Hotz) lovely neighbour for the years that my Mom was at Dearness. Mom thought very highly of your Mum and was very glad that she was right next door. She loved sharing her candies with her and many times dropped a few of them in her candy dish by the door when she passed.
Marion was such a lovely woman. It truly was my pleasure to have met your Mom. She was always so thoughtful, caring, and compassionate and she would tell me that she loved me. She will be dearly missed by many and I have to say that she was also very lucky to have such a wonderful family who spent so much time with her. Not everyone has a family that cares so much and goes out of their way to visit and keep someone in such good spirits. I’m sure you all feel just as lucky to have had her as your sweet Mum.
Your mom will be missed by many. I remember the Bellevue neighbours fondly. Your family was among the best. Best wishes wellness and strength to your family.
Our sincere condolences to the Cribbon family on the passing of your mother. We remember sitting outside the Dearness Home with the family during the Canada Day festivities, reminiscing about the “old days”.
May she will rest in eternal peace.
