“I don’t need flowers, so do something nice for someone you love. I had a lot of fun in my time, thanks to the people around me. If only I could putt. Go make some birdies and raise a glass. Miss you all.” -Gord.

Our sincere condolences to all the family. We will miss Gord, a soft spoken and kind hearted neighbour, fellow golf addict and friend. Our thoughts are with you.
I only had a short time to know gord.
He made me laugh at every interaction- I wish I knew him longer and for different reasons.
I will forever remember him.
Rest In peace, friend.
Dear Family
I was so so sad to hear that Gord has passed away. I went all through public school with Gord and he was my friend. Always lifted my spirits when I was down. Wonderful wonderful man and liked by everyone. Always had a smile. He will be so missed by all that knew him. I am so happy to see that picture of Gord smiling as that is how I remember him. Prayers to all of you. God Bless you Gord.
Nancy, I was saddened by your husband’s passing. Although I didn’t know Gord, his obituary reflected his love for family and his passion for golf. I’ll try to carry out his wishes and make a few birdies! My sincere condolences.
Our hearts go out to you, Gord, and to your family who loves you very much. You are all in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. Cherish the memories. RIP Gord.
So sorry for your loss, Nancy. Condolences to you and your family.
There is a void in the Highland community that is impossible to fill, as Gord is one of a kind. His friendship and positivity I will certainly miss. A game of golf with Gord is what golf was meant to be, a time to enjoy good friends and to remember to always put things into their proper perspective. Gord faced his cancer as he lived his life, with great courage and dignity. He set an example that many of us will attempt to follow. I will think of Gord as I sip my morning coffee, and tip my cap to my good friend, each time I miss a short putt.
I was so sorry to hear of Gord’s passing; my mother was his mother’s first cousin, and although he was a bit older than me and so I didn’t really spend as much time with him as my sister, I do remember his ability to make everyone smile. He was also always there at important family events as we got older. So sorry to miss his memorial service; we have relocated to NB or else we would have been there.
