I had the pleasure of working with Doug together at the Metro produce department the last 7 years or so. He was not only a great co-worker but also a really good friend. I’ll always remember his gentle personality and nice demeanor with myself and the rest of the staff in our department and the entire store as well. He was always good natured and liked to have fun while also being productive. I will miss his smile and my condolences to Mo and the rest of his friends and family members affected by his sudden passing.

Dear Mo and Family,
Mo, I am so deeply sorry for your loss. While I didn’t have the pleasure of meeting Doug, I always enjoyed your stories of your travels and passion for sports. My deepest condolences from my family and I. Take care of each other.
I work night shift at Metro , I always got a hello John from Doug . A truly nice man to work with . He will be missed by all of us .
Doug was a true gentleman, considerate of others, a wonderful friend and a great golf mate. I will cherish Doug’s encouragement and patience as he endured partnering with me in many golf tournaments over the years. We think fondly of our golf trips together, shucking oysters, BBQs at the Delaware Ponderosa and our last dinner together in the spring.
Mo, We are thinking of you and wish you hope in the midst of your sorrow and comfort in the midst of your pain. Take care.
Love Brian & Sherrill

Mo & Family,
Condolences. As a golfing acquaintance at STGCC, Doug will be dearly missed at the Club. No matter the state of Doug’s game good or bad, he always made those around him smile with his great personality. His passion for the game was awesome, may all his shots in heaven be as pure as his personality.
Dear Mo,
Please accept my deepest condolences.
I , like many others, have had the privilege of playing many rounds of golf with Dougie always sharing a few laughs.
He spoke proudly of the many trips the two of you enjoyed.
I will remember the beautiful golf swing but will never forget the incredible person.
Fondest regards,
Jim Hunter
Dear Mo

So sorry to hear of Doug’s passing. I enjoyed being with Doug whether we were playing in some competition or on a golf trip somewhere, maybe just having a beer at the club. I am going to miss him. My family wish you and your family our deepest condolences.

I’m very saddened about Doug’s passing and my thoughts and prayers are with his family. I was friends with Doug when we were younger. We lived just down the street from each other on Atkinson Blvd. I went to public school with Doug and we got along great. We bowled together at Eastown Plaza when we were 10 and 11 years old in the YBC and he was very good at it . We also played hockey at Princess Anne PS. Where we won a Squirt city championship with Doug being the captain of the team. I always thought that Doug would play hockey in the NHL That’s how good he was ! Doug and I didn’t see much of each other for many years after that but were reacquainted with each other when I was doing treatments for Cancer at Victoria Hospital. My wife and I went to grab a few things at the Metro across the street after a Chemo treatment and I was in the produce dept. and I recognized him and went over and an Awesome chat about when we were kids and what was going on in our lives , I was so happy to see him again, And now I am very sad and shocked that our New friendship was short lived. May you rest in peace Doug I’ll never forget you. Kevin S.
Sorry to hear about Doug, Mo.
I worked with Doug at the Bryon Metro (A&P), on the night shift. He was a great guy to work with weather on that old Camaro or my golf game.
Mo, we are thinking about during this difficult time. I enjoyed talking golf with Doug, he was truly passionate about!
Love Van and Trina
Our Dearest Mo,
Word cannot express the sadness we felt when we heard of Doug’s passing. Memories of when we were kids to growing up attending each others weddings and crossing paths over the years. Doug had a heart of gold. Hold on to the memories you’ve made over the last 38 years. You could see in his eyes he was a happy man and that is because of you Mo, the love of his life. He is not gone, he lives in your heart.
Love Pete and Nancy Reed
Dear Mo & Family
It’s been years since I’d seen Doug when we both worked at the Byron A&P, but Doug stood out because of his mild, friendly nature and his wonderful demeanor has never left my memory. He was special and obviously he touched many others the same way! The 2 of you were a beautiful couple & you must be thankful for the many years you enjoyed together, making memories you can always go to for comfort. With deepest sympathy,
Inge Telford

I never knew Doug but I still have the Dodgers hat you guys sent me from LA some time ago so anyone that would do that and cheer a bit for the Dodgers had to be a good guy. Keep your chin up, use all your inner strength and take one day at a time. May God be with you along the way.
