Obituary
BEAVERS, Clarence …
After a long and courageous battle, we say goodbye to a wonderful man on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 in his 85th year. Beloved husband of Joan Beavers for 54 years. Dear dad of Meagan Beavers and Karen (Dan) Beavers. Predeceased by his daughter Heather Beavers, his siblings Alice, Mervin, Keith, Leland, Mildred, Gladwin and Warren. Clare was a kind and sweet soul who loved his family. Clare, a Christian, never spoke unkindly of others. For 30 years, Clare dedicated his life to Kellogg’s, so much so that in the storm of 1977, he did not want to miss work. He walked 6 km in the snowstorm, to find the plant shut down, so he turned around and walked the 6km back home. Clare loved his Northern Ontario camp. He spent years turning a tar paper shack, into a Canadian paradise. Clare enjoyed fishing, hunting, 4-wheeling, snowmobiling and even tapped maple trees to put golden goodness on many breakfast tables. Through the years, Clare loved his Black Labradors. Clare battled cancer for many years. He pushed through dozens of surgeries and procedures. But he was sadly defeated and lost his battle. We would like to thank Dr. Razvi and his extraordinary team for all their support, and the amazing staff on the 8th and 10th floors of University Hospital. Thank you to the Palliative care team including Dr. Koivu, and to Dr. Schmitt for his unwavering compassion. Thank you to many family members and friends who visited with Clare during his last weeks, supporting Joan, Meagan and Karen. Private family interment to take place at St. Marys Cemetery, St. Marys. Family, friends, neighbours and co workers are asked to gather for A Celebration of Life that will be held on Sunday, July 28, 2019 from 1-4 pm at Civic Garden Complex, 625 Springbank Drive, London, ON N6K 4T1. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the St. Joseph’s Health Care Foundation -Urology Fund in Support of Residency Training Program, c/o St. Joseph’s Hospital, Room A1-015 268 Grosvenor Street London, ON N6A 4V2 or to the Canadian Wildlife Foundation, 350 Michael Cowpland Drive, Kanata, ON K2M 2W1. Arrangements entrusted to A. Millard George Funeral Home, 519-433-5184. Online condolences, memories and photographs shared at www.amgfh.com

Karen and family….my thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. Clarence was a fine man who truly will be missed.
Dear Joan, Meagan, Karen and families. I along with many others, am expressing my deepest sorrow at the last of your dear loved one. Best friend to everyone and indeed a very kind gentle soul. I remember him always providing “mooseballs” at our potlucks at the church, with Joan’s special sauce. He fought the good fight, you could ask no more. He is at peace now and has earned his wings. May he forever soar. Prayers and love to you all.
Dear Joan, Meagan, Karen & Dan…thinking about you at this sad time. A gentle man of few soft words. “When someone you love becomes a memory, that memory becomes a treasure “…author unknown.
On behalf of the Heggart family, I want to say that our hearts are broken that your father and husband, best friend and confidant has left this world for the next challenge. It always feels too soon… Yet we could never be prepared enough… I know he will be missed… But remember, he is only a thought away. You only have to believe…
While we had never met Mr. Beavers, his daughter spoke so highly and frequently of him it was almost as if we had. A sad day indeed with the loss of such a fine gentleman. Our deepest condolences to all.
Sending our love and hugs in this time of sorrow. We are here for you in whatever your needs may be, even just to talk. Love you!
My sincere condolences Meagan and Karen and family. I never met him, but from everything you wrote on Facebook over the years, he was a very sweet and kind person who will be dearly missed.
Big hug.
We are sad to hear about Clare’s passing. Joan and Clare offered encouragement to Bill during Bill’s prostate surgery and we will be forever grateful. Our thoughts and prayer are with you Joan and your family at this time.
Bill & Marg
Joan, Meagan, Karen:
So sorry to hear of Clare’s passing. I have many memories of him at church events and seeing you all sitting in the balcony. His fight was long and now he is pain free. May your memories be a comfort to you in the days ahead and your faith sustain you during this time.
Mrs. Beavers, Meagan & Karen.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time. Know that he is at peace now and watching over you all.
Treasure your memories.
So sorry to hear of Clarence’s many battles and subsequent passing. He was one of our first guests when we bought Snowshoe Camp back in 1980 and we think only good thoughts when we remember him, Joan, Meagan and Karen. He was a true gentleman.
Enjoyed working with Clare at the big K for many years. Had good times with him at his cottage. He was a kind soul and will be missed.
Although I never met Mr. Beavers, I heard much about him from Meagan. Meagan is a fine woman and an excellent professional nurse. She surely received her values and love of family from the parenting she received from her mother and father. Mr. Beavers will be missed by many, but his legacy lives on.
We’re so sorry for your loss. Cherish the wonderful memories with your family. May God grant you strength and peace in the difficult days ahead.
It was an honour to be a part of Mr. Beavers care through his battle with cancer. He was a kind and beautiful soul. Best wishes to his family moving forward. Thank you for your generosity.
Dear Joan Meghan and Karen,
Thinking of you as you reflect on the life and love of Clare. Peace and love to each of you at this difficult time.
Meagan, Karen and Joan,
My deepest condolences and prayers for continued strength. May you take comfort in all the memories and knowing he is now at peace.
Best,
Cathy and John Litwin
