So sorry to hear of Jack’s passing. There ends a chapter in the southwestern history. Jack was responsible for solidifying the fabric of all the small towns west of St Marys, to Exeter, Grand Bend, Parkhill, Ailsa Craig, Strathroy and of course much of London. He mentored or influenced most of the Surveyors and Technicians in all the southwest of Ontario and was the last of a special guard that anchored London, St Marys, Goderich, Chatham and St. Thomas. We are better people because he was.
Hello Dave, Nancy and all of the Gray family. My sincere condolences on the passing of Jack.He would often drop in just to chat for a few minutes and get caught up on events in the car business. It was my pleasure to know him.
warmest regards
John Allen
Dear Gray Family, we send you our sincere condolences with a heavy heart. We have old but very fond memories of Jack. He and Kathy welcomed my family to Canada and were most generous in helping us get settled. My father, Henry, was also a surveyor and worked with Jack at AGM for many years. My mother Gerda, too, is saddened by the news of Jack’s passing. She was very fond of both Jack and Kathy.
It is always sad to learn of the passing of a friend and surveyor colleague. My condolences to all of Jack’s family. He set a very fine example for all of us.
May he rest in peace.

Dear Family,
Almost 61 years to date I was introduced to Jack in Kips Lane in an old white little building, ( you should see it now) being the only one on that offshoot off Adelaide, in the office of Colonel Sam. Archibald O.L.S. were he was articling to become a land surveyor. I was interested in the same profession. Over the years we obtained our goals and professional status and although myself ending up in Ontario Hydro, our professional and social paths crossed many times. Jack was a no nonsense private business man. We had excellent co-relation in our profession. I will miss this good professional, a good friend, which always will be remembered by me.
Our sincere condolences for loosing a father and grand father , but who will always be remembered by many. Strength to you all.
