Peacefully surrounded by his family at Victoria Hospital, London, on Wednesday, October 9, 2013, David Ronald “Snapper” Smith of London, in his 83rd year. Beloved husband of Elisabeth (Gruhs) Smith for 50 years. Loving father of Christiane Galley (Scott), Ron Smith (Jacquie Moonen) and Burc Karse. The family would like to thank the staff at Victoria Hospital, 5th Floor – Respiratory Unit, for their care and compassion. Friends will be received by the family one hour prior (10-11am) to the funeral service being conducted in the chapel of the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London, on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at 11am. Interment in Woodland Cemetery, London. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to St. Joseph’s Health Care Foundation – Parkwood Hospital – Veterans Care, 268 Grosvenor Street, London ON N6A 4V2.
