I have many memories of enjoying John and Bev’s wonderful hospitality, both in London and Destin. John was always interested in everything even if those views did not always agree with his! Rest in peace, John and be reunited with Bev.
Your sister in law Rachel
Please accept our condolences regarding the passing of John. He was a good man, and a good husband to my dear sister Bev.
I have many fond memories of John at Richards-Wilcox in London. As a junior draftsman in 1962, my first impression was “who cut his hair”. Later to discover he was the CFO and later to be President.
John was a founding father of the Canadian Door Institute, an association of door dealers and manufacturers.
John had the difficult task to dismantle and liquidate a 75 year old multifaceted manufacturing company and to pass the torch to smaller entrepreneurs who today still carry the torch leading Richards-Wilcox Canada into the 2nd century as a world class manufacturer still made in Canada.
Every thing John did was with dignity and respect to others.
John was a leader.
I do not have a picture of John and would like one for the International Door association magazine who honour industry leaders
