AMBROSE, John Ernest…..
Peacefully at Parkwood Hospital, London on Wednesday, June 13, 2013, John Ambrose in his 87th year. Beloved husband of the late Violet Lillian Ambrose. Loving father of Janet (Mike), Christine (Gwynne), Yvonne (Ahmed), and Janice (Brad). Cherished grandfather of 11 grandchildren. Dear great-grandfather of 13 great-granchildren. Dear brother of Pat and Frances. Predeceased by his brothers Reg and Stan. John was a veteran of WWII, and a well respected teacher at Fanshawe College and member of his profession. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Palliative Care Unit of Parkwood hospital for their care and compassion. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received by the family 1 hour prior (10-11am) to the funeral service, being conducted in the chapel of the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London, on Saturday, June 22, 2013 at 11 am. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to Parkwood Hospital c/o St. Joseph’s Health Care Foundation, 268 Grosvenor Street, London, ON N6A 4V2.
