My thoughts and prayers are with Barbara’s family, who she loved to talk about. I met Barbara through her kindness and generosity in supporting St. Joseph’s Health Care Foundation. She was a very gentle lady, who always made one feel special. I will miss her phone calls and lovely notes, that I will treasure. I am unable to attend the service for Barbara but will be there in spirit. It would have been nice to meet you all, who she held so dearly. Sincerely, Sue Barnes – St. Joseph’s Health Care.
Mike and I have known Barbara for four years and she always had a smile and kind words. I work at a nursing home and she was always interested in how the residents were doing. We will miss seeing her in the hallway. We are deeply sorry for your loss.
So sorry to hear of the passing
She was a real lady, may she rest in peace
My wife Carol and I met Barbara, as teachers, in 1961. Over the years we had a lot of fun together and for a time, met twice a week for lunch. My memory tells me we laughed a lot ! Barbara moved back to London and worked in Home Care with the Red Cross. She was very loyal to her mother, her brother and his family, and her Crinklaw cousins in London. She was active in her Church, The Eastern Star and the Retired Teachers of Ontario(RTO). After my wife passed away in 2002 , Barbara and I visited and spoke often on the phone. Over the past years with my partner, Patricia, we visited Barbara in London and Toronto on special occasions and also just for fun! Barbara’s glass was always half full- she was a true friend who was always able to be positive. When, in recent years her health was failing , Barbara remained up-beat.
Barbara’s health had improved in many ways in the past year and so the news of her passing has shocked us.
Peace be with you Barbara- you were a true and loyal friend . We will miss you.
May I offer my deepest sympathy in the loss of my sorority sister and friend, Barbara.
Barbara and I shared many good conversations and good times in Alpha Zeta Masters Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.
She and I belonged to Westmount Presbyterian Church as well.
She told me that her father, brother and many relatives were all involved with the Masons. The Crinklaw family.
I am the sister of Dr. Allan Petrisor of Woodstock who was Grand Master only 3 years ago.
I will miss Barbara. She was a very kind, thoughtful, caring friend and sorority sister.
In Sympathy, Florence Brendon.
