Dave I was saddened to hear of the passing of Lois this morning while playing at Highland. I never had the opportunity to meet her, but I somehow always new that if she had the ability to mold you into the fine gentleman your are, she must truly have been a wonderful woman. My sincere condolences to you and your entire family. May you cherish the many wonderful memories you have of Lois until next you have the opportunity to be with her again.
I met Lois in the 70’s at Dr. Mochizuki’s dental office. We met off and on over the years. I was her letter carrier while she spent years at home raising the children and she had me in for cups of tea and muffins. She gave me a muffin cookbook, which I still use. Lois also came to my home and was my “tupperware lady”. They were great parties!Whenever we met, she brought me up to date on the children. Her face would light up and she always had a big smile whenever she talked about all of you. I last saw her when she,and you Dave, were about to retire. I am really glad you both got to spend that time together.I know she is up in heaven and watching over all of you. She will be missed down here by all of us.
I am so sorry to hear of Lois’ passing. I met Lois about 25yrs ago…maybe more in Tupperware when we were both Managers. She was one of the most beautiful people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. She will be deeply missed by anyone who knew her no matter how brief their encounter. Your picture of Lois is exactly how I remember her. My deepest sympathies to her family and friends. Heaven has a beautiful loving angel with them. You will always feel her love. xo
Words cannot express the fond memories, the warm smile and the amazing family this woman has left behind. Her deep faith and patient endurance gives hope to all who have had the pleasure of knowing her. She will be greatly missed and very fondly remembered.
Dave and family,
I am saddened to learn that Lois has passed…she was a true, beautiful lady that I had the great fortune to meet and care for in my nursing career. She faced cancer with spirit, determination and courage. She was a bright light in my work day…she never complained and always wanted to know how I was doing and my family. I will miss her greatly. Please hold each other close during this difficult time and cherish al the wonderful memories you have of Lois.

We have many fond memories of happier times when our kids were growing up together and we shared chats over the back fence. Your Mom was so proud of each of you, Heather, Greg & Colleen. We know that you have been a great support to your Mom and will continue to be to your Dad.

Dave, Our thoughts & prayers are with you and the family…may you experience His grace and peace during these days of loss and adjustment. We especially appreciated Lois’ music ministry as she played the organ/piano so beautifully, for many years, at Wortley and was a spiritual blessing to us. She was so faithful and dedicated. We so much appreciated her friendship. Greetings to you from Janet (McKay) Hoffman, Sask.

Dear Dave: I am so sorry to hear of your family’s loss. Please accept my condolences. I’m sure you are thankful for your children and their families who are such a source of comfort at such a difficult time.
David and family we are praying for you all as you walk this particular journey out. We heard the news at church today and was deeply saddened by this loss. I (Dawn) can still hear her laughter, seeing her carrying my babies around in her arms and the amazing moments we shared together on the worship team. She always loved the organ and i’m sure she is singing her heart out to Jesus.
She will be greatly missed.
Sorry to hear you’ve lost Lois/ kids – their mom.
My daughter Natalie is in Greg’s class this year. She just told me today about the passing of your mother. We are so sorry to hear about that. Our thoughts are with you and your family.
I didn’t know Lois that well but our paths often crossed. At the dentist, as your gas meter reader. She saw me leaving LRCC but I didn’t see her. So she sent me a note and I called her. Told me of her diagnosis.
I just heard today of her passing, and am shocked and saddened. Such a loss for all, but especially you and your family.
My condolenses. Nancy Searle
David,
Yesterday I was at a retirement party for Lynda Pressey at her new home on Lake Margaret Trail in St. Thomas. I enjoyed renewing acquaintances with teachers and principals with whom I had worked up to my retirement twenty-six years ago. David, it was only natural that I should ask about you. It was with sadness that I learned your wife had passed almost a month ago. I recalled the many hours you and I spent together AND the happy times I enjoyed in your London home. Please accept my sincere sympathy on your profound loss. Had Lois been ill long? As an aside, Lynda’s mom was buried this past Monday; she was in her 98th year.

Sorry for your loss. I felt compelled to drop you a message and I hope I am not intruding on your grief:
But my daughter is called Lois, my mother too, my grandmother too, all descended from Lois Broadhead of Deepcar near Sheffield. Any relation?
