I am so very sad to hear of the “Promotion to Glory” of my dear dear friend Marlene. So many wonderful memories over the years. She will be greatly missed by Colin and Victoria as well as myself who knew her as auntie Mar! My love and prayers go out to Art, Doug, Betty and Cassandra. May the Lord give you peace during these days.
Art, we are saddened by the news of Marlene’s passing. Please be assured of our thoughts and prayers. Wendy & Marlene knew each other for a very long time.
God Bless.
Art. We are so sorry to hear of Marlene’s Promotion to Glory. Our families go back many years and lots of memories. Unfortunately we will not be able to attend the funeral, but our thoughts and prayers will be with you. Alasdair and Vivien Rose
My thoughts and prayers are with you Art at this time
Art, our sincere condolences on Marlene’s passing. We have fond memories of our time together in Florida. May you be comforted by your memories in the days ahead. God bless.
Hugs, Gail and Grant Wren
Uncle Art, my deepest condolences to you (all 5’18” of you). I am still wondering about Aunt Marlene’s passing, as I have yet to learn if she passed peacefully at home or had been recently hospitalized. I would like to thank my cousin Rick Cliffe (Bev & Marion’s son) for reading the Obituary and passing the news on to the rest of the Cliffe family. Without Rick we might not have heard. Even Doris (William) Cliffe of Chilliwack, BC, and Susan (Gary) Cliffe of London, Ont, (Aunt Marlene’s only two surviving sister-in-laws) were not informed of Aunt Marlene’s passing. Thank you again, Rick. I am sure that her 4 nephews (2 in BC and 2 in Ontario) and her 6 nieces (4 in BC and 2 in Ontario) will miss her deeply. Some of my fondest memories as a young child are of her before my parents and I moved to Vancouver. Again, my deepest condolences to you, Uncle Art. It seems like only a few years ago that I attended your wedding with my father, Bill, and my daughter, Christina. It’s hard to believe that you have actually been together for over 3 decades.
Uncle Art,
I am deeply saddened to read the obit of the passing of my Aunt Marlene. I too am hoping to hear more details, as I was informed by a cousin to go to this obituary. I am hoping it was a peaceful passing.
As we grieve our loss here I know that her brothers (my Dad) Jim, Bill, Gary and Bev are celebrating and welcoming her coming home. I am so glad I had the opportunity to visit with you both when I was in London in 2010. My heart and love goes out to you at this time of great loss, she was a wonderful lady.
