Ralph was a stalwart person for my family. He conducted my parent’s funerals, baptised my Grandchildren Eric and Karly. He was a very strong, loving,non-judmental, and humorous man. I was privileged to accompany Ralph and Corinne to Mexico. It was a beautiful holiday and as I reflect on it, it was a very memorable time in my life. Thank you so much Ralph for your contribution and love for my family. Sally and Bev
I was very fortunate like my sister Sally going to Mexico we had such a memorable time. Ralph had a saying “oh well” and I would ask “how deep is it?” I would get “oh shut up” just loved that:) He did have a great sense of humour. Ralph and Corinne and Catherine liked to come to our place on Civic Holiday they would bring a pinata for our grandchildren – nieces and nephews which created a lot of smiling faces on the children when they broke it open – made Ralph and Corinne smile as they loved children.
Loved you Ralph you were an awesome man great Husband Father Grandfather and Great Great Grandfather and Cousin to us.
In know I would get and “oh well” which would be OK by me
Love Cathy & Marty
My grandfather was a strong, willful, caring, loving and most generous man. Part strong father figure for me, and a most wonderful supportive grandfather. We were very close. My grand mother also possessed these qualities, and to was a strong mother figure and grandmother. She is dearly missed and never far from my heart our thoughts. Our family is so blessed for the union of such two extraordinary people. If you knew them, you would describe them to be loving, first to ask ” what can we do to help”,caring, non-judgmental, and with a great sense of humor, graciousness, most forgiving, adviser, counselor, with great love for all people, not just his family. Educating and ministering were important values, passed to all.
Pinyata making and school projects were such a joy for me. I remember taking them to school, and at the time having been fortunate to have grandparent’s who traveled, and loved to study learn and teach. It made for the most excellent school projects and assignments, that taught me and my peers something new and interesting. Plus it also assured I would get an A+. There teaching and belief system long lives on in his family members. I try to pass the knowledge and experience to my own children, his oldest Grandson’s Alex and Aidan. As well as wanting to create the best environment possible with my most loving and cherished partner Rick Geals. Right now they would appreciate love and support as it has been difficult news, especially for the children. They were very privileged to have known first hand my grandfather’s love and generosity and
unwavering support for their achievements . Unfortunately, my grandmother did not get to meet our first born by 9 months. Although, I was able to tell her I was pregnant, and my how she smiled at me, with tears of joy in her eyes. I will never forget. However, my grandfather easily made up for her absence. We also have the travel bug, and have been fortunate to see much of the world, with and without our children. My how much it teaches you. We were honored to be asked to travel with my grandfather, last march. in which we embarked on a cruise in the Caribbean for a long family holiday. A true gift of time together, with lots of joy and good times. Wonderful memories for our family to cherish and reflect on. This was the last time I saw my grandfather as we are posted in Nova Scotia at present. However we did correspond by e-mail, and mail, as his hearing got worse. Grandpa, you will be missed, but never far from our hearts, may you meet up with you wife, who you so dearly missed and continue you life together, watching over us from above.
I am very sad and will miss Ralph a lot. I am glad that he is with Corinne in heaven. They are two beautiful souls.
Deepest sympathy to the family. We met your parents in ’85 through my Mom who lived in Goderich. They were so kind to us when she passed away. They were two wonderful people. We always looked foreward to your Dad’s Christmas Letter. He will be greatly missed by many.
We wish to give our condolences to all of the family& friends.Reverend Ralph had a great sense of humor, that is always nice in this sometimes very fast paced world. May you be at peace my friend, and be with your wife Corinne. You will be missed very much.
