Beloved son of Pat and Doug Armstrong of London, brother of Lisa Smith and Andrea Anderson, and a lively and cherished presence in the lives of many other family members and friends. Visitation has been completed at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London. Donations may be made to Mission Services of London, 415 Hamilton Road, London, ON N5Z 1S1, where Kirby worked with the city’s homeless. Online condolences, memories and photographs shared at www.amgfh.com
I worked with Kirby at Mission Services for several years. He was often the night’s entertainment (night shift) after things quieted down, with his witty remarks and “word-smithing”. Very authentic, he often didn’t let political correctness cover his true feelings and genuine compassion for those around him. I will miss him.

I’m not sure Kirby ever knew how many lives he touched, not just through his work. He was alwaqys there with a new joke, even though I was positive I had heard the last of his material. He’d always take the time to talk to me, or wave me over from across the street just to say hi. I’m going to miss you bud, may you rest in peace.
