I didn’t have the pleasure of knowing Aileen.. but I did grow up as a neighbour and friend her brother Vern and his family.
Her niece Verna Lynn a close childhood friend.. and as a “senior citizen” reflecting back.. and making a short list of those who have been truly significant figures if my life.. Verna Lynn among that number. Time marches on but an obituary in the newspaper is a useful reminder that our lives touch one another in profound ways that may be fully appreciated in hindsight. May I offer my sincere condolences to all the family of “Toots.”
