It was a shock today when I went to Chelsey Park to visit Maggie and found out that she has passed away. As a volunteer companion for Maggie through the Alzheimer Society, Maggie and I developed a beautiful friendship and a strong bond that I will always cherish. She was such a sweet lady with a very quick wit. I enjoyed our visits so much and our excursions for a “good” cup of coffee which she loved, especially with two creams! Maggie always had a twinkle in her eye and a personality that was very endearing. Her strong faith and love for God was always evident and I know that she must be happy to be embraced by God’s love at this time. I will miss Maggie very much and our special times together. I send my deepest sympathy to her family and friends. She spoke often about family and friends when we were together. She was a sweetie and I know she will be sorely missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
