Ardyth Anne Whitman (Stewart)

WHITMAN, Ardyth Anne (Stewart)…Peacefully at University Hospital, London, on Wednesday, February 8, 2012, Ardyth Whitman in her 81st year. Beloved wife of Dr. Clyde S. Whitman for 57 years. Dear mother of Karen Hoke of San Francisco, Reford Whitman and his wife Anne of Kelowna, BC and Scott Whitman of London. Loved grandmother of 6 grandchildren. Also survived by her daughter-in-law Dana Whitman. Predeceased by her son Dr. Stewart Whitman of Ottawa and her brother Sutherland Stewart (Heather). Ardyth was an R.N. and a graduate of the Montreal General Hospital School of Nursing, class of 1953. She was recognized for her expertise in interior design and a gracious host. She was an ardent bridge player and was known to be involved in eight bridge clubs over many years. Cremation has taken place. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date. Burial will be at St. Annes Anglican Church Cemetery. At the request of the deceased there will be no funeral home visitation or service.
