On behalf of the London Skating Club Board, Coaches and members, we would like to express our sincere condolences to Shannon and all of Brian’s family and friends for the sudden passing of Brian. Shannon’s hard work and love of skating no doubt came in part from her dad, and as such Brian will live on each time she steps on the ice.
We were heart broken to hear of the loss of uncle Brian. Our thoughts and prayers are with Shannon and her family during this time.
Love Jessica, Kamel and Ameenah
I am so sorry to hear of the death of Brian. He was always such a character – so full of life and laughter. He brought sunshine into every room he entered and every life he touched.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Shannon and her family with the loss of Uncle Brian. He will be greatly missed.
Love jennifer and Craig
I was sorry to read of Brian’s passing. He grew up in Barkers Point, New Brunswick with my husband John (“Gus”) Donovan, Byard (“Iodine”) and Alan Peterson, Brian (“Hump”) MacKay, Donald (“Onions”) Hughes, Craig Sturgeon, Doug Dunphy, Brian O’Donnell and many others. In 1958 Brian along with my husband John Donovan and Byard Peterson decided it was time to “escape” Barkers Point and join the army. John was sent here to London to the RCR, Byard went to Winnipeg to an Artillery Unit, but I’m not sure what happened with Brian. I know the three of them spent a lot of time reminiscing at the 1996 Barkers Point School Reunion.
Sorry to see another “Pointer” depart this life.
Many of Timmy’s and laughter were shared with Brian. “Brian the Meat Cutter” spoke only good about people. Soft spoken and gentle. He will be missed by a lot of Timmy’s regulars like ourselves. Regards to you Lyn sorry for your loss. Its a shock but he did not suffer we hope.
Brian to me, was a people person, who always asked how you were and had a smile on his face. I’m so touched that he had spent most of his last day surrounded by the family he loved.
Shannon, I am so very sorry to hear of the loss of your father. Although I only met him a few times, he always had a warm and friendly smile and always made a point to say hi to the kids! My deepest sympathies go out to you and your family. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
