Dear Aunt Grace,
We will all miss you dearly. Remember the “money cakes”,dulse, salting the groudhogs tail, and don’t bring those snails near Uncle Jacks garden! You have been a role model to all of us. Always polite and proper, never a negative thing to say about anyone, and most of all the most loving Aunt we’ve ever known. More like a mother than an Aunt. If my children can be a fraction of the person you were, they will grow up to be wonderful people. Our prayers are with you as you reunite with Uncle Jack.
Until we see you again.
All our Love, Kevin, Christina, Grace, Lauren and Christian
ps. There has to be at least one Kentucky Fried Chicken in heaven, so enjoy!!! xoxoxo
aunt grace was the best aunt ever. She was always nice caring and sweet to everyone. I remember when she made us all brakfast when me and my family went to see her. I love and miss her soooo much. She will always be there in my heart.
To Mrs.Paisley’s family: It was my delight to have Mrs.Paisley as my dental hygiene patient for many years..She was “grace” personified..Since I grew up in Nova Scotia and also have family near Hingham,Mass., we had many wonderful talks about our families..I wish Mrs.Paisley eternal rest after a life well-lived..Blessings to her family, Dawn Cumming.
To my dear Aunt: Kathy, Kevin and I are so thankful that we were able to spend two days with you in August. You have been such an important part of my life for the past 68 years that now there will be this deep void. You were always there for the family in any emergency no matter how far away it was. When I lost my mother at a young age, you stepped in and filled the void. You are and always was a lady with a capital L.
May you find peace, love and joy reunited with Jack and Grampy and Nanny. I love you with all my heart. Bobbie
I think the only time we argued, (which was often) was when you always had your money out to pay for a meal or say “I’ll buy that”. You never wanted the family to pay for anything. Somehow we managed to win the argument.
MY sincere condolences to all Grace’s friends and family. She will be sorely missed. Grace was refined, generous and the epitome of a Lady, a quality in short supply in our current society.
Having reached a rare milestone of 106 years, she did it with humor, love and a joy of life that was inspiring to all of us. The gates of heaven swung wide when she approached and she was welcomed with open arms and smiles. God Bless.
Dear Barbara and Family,
We were Grace and Jack’s next door neighbours for many years and we couldn’t have found better neighbours. They checked our house for us whenever we went away, even after a break-in. Grace was always so kind and thoughtful and so interested in us and our families. I guess we didn’t see the first obituary before the funeral or we certainly would have been there. She did so well to stay in her home for so many years and we hope her stay at Mount Hope was O.K. for her. She had so much trouble talking on the phone that I’m not sure she knew who was calling when I called. We will miss Grace, a dear, fine lady. I know you will too.
Sincerest sympathy,
Donna, Jan and Jim
