I am so sorry to hear of Betty’s passing. She was a remarkable person who lived life passionately. I’ve never forgotten her kindness and generosity to us when Ed was at the Shute Clinic. Ken and Betty welcomed us to their beautiful home overlooking the city of London. I still remember the wonderful Bean Casserole they served us and the warm, bubbly conversation that soaked the evening.
Thank you Betty for being who you are!
Lynne, I am so sorry to read of your mother in the paper today. A truly wonderful women who will be greatly missed. My condolences to your family. Cheryl
I was so sad to read the news of Betty this morning. The picture, with Betty’s wonderful smile captured the essence of a very special woman – warm, caring and loving. Ironically, in late May I tried many times to call Betty at Longworth to tell her that my husband and I had just celebrated our 40th anniversary. I wanted to share that with her because Betty and Ken were generous enough to host our wedding at their lovely home on the hill 40 years ago. I was unaware that Betty was ill and had possibly moved. We always remembered that special night and the incredible generosity shown by Betty and Ken. My sympathies extend to Ken, Lynn and the family. Betty was one of a kind.

To Ken, Lynne and family
We were both saddened to note Betty’s obit on Monday. Just last week, we were talking and reviewing some of our many memories of good times shared with good people.
Betty is always a big part of the good things that happen. She always took the lead and was always prepared to help when things became difficult.
We know she was much loved and can appreciate the sorrow her passing brings to you. We know, too, that the sorrow will pass and her smile will be remembered.
Love .. Ron & Sandy
Lynn

Betty: You welcomed me into your heart and home when I married Nick. Your smile was a light all around you. My thoughts to your loving family. Peg
Former neighbour Peter Auksi sends heartfelt sympathy to Ken and Lynne especially, and to all other family members too. ‘The Queen of the Hill’ at Dornockbrow was a lovely human being, and I remember her with great affection … kind and generous, playfl and clever, and always full of warmth and spirit. She had a lovely influence on all who know her and I think fondly of her always as ‘The Queen of Chicken Pot Pies,’ but she was a great cook on any occasion and with any dish. A sad loss, and my heart goes out to husband and daughter especially.
